No to a 7th-of-November-like day!

Since the 14th my attitude towards the Troika was wait and see. Nevertheless, I did express some ideas as to our political situation while trying to keep a high dose of optimism; which is still the case if not more. 

However, especially today and as a Free Tunisian, I clearly state my opposition as to making of the 23rd-of-October a national celebration, which God forbids, might become a 7th-of-Nov ember-like national holiday! 

This is not only the same and identical RCD pseudo-politics, but attests also to the political failure of the Troika to deal with the transition, and thus conceive of new and workable solutions.

In addition, this day is the will and deeds of Free Tunisians, and the Troika did nothing as to its planetary success, a success achieved by our martyrs blood -God Bless their souls- and Free Tunisians will.

We shall prevail, and sooner than the Troika planned/is planning! Power to the People.

THE DAILY STAR :: Opinion :: Commentary :: From Tunisia to Wall Street: the globalization of protest: They are right that something is wrong about our “system.” Around the world, we have underutilized resources – people who want to work, machines that lie idle, buildings that are empty – and huge unmet needs: fighting poverty, promoting development, and retrofitting the economy for global warming, to name just a few. In America, after more than 7 million home foreclosures in recent years, we have empty homes and homeless people.

The constitution to-be

Those elected were democratically assigned by the Free People of Tunisia to conceive and elaborate a constitution aligned and in coherence with the universal claims of the Tunisian revolution that our martyrs (God bless their souls) empowered with their lives and blood. Thus, they weren't given a blank check to decide for the free people of Tunisia! This constitution to be will engage the Tunisian society as well as the region for the coming decades if not centuries. Therefore, our new constitution should be forward looking, taking into consideration the aspiration of our people especially the Tunisian youth, as well as the mega trends of our exponentially mutating world. In addition, it should decouple itself from any discourse that kept our region in the lower segment of the world nations while building on our political diversity and historical assets. We are the grand children of the mighty General Hannibal, the unique and ingenious thinker Ibn Khaldun and the patriotic and inspiring poet Abul Kassim Echabi. Such lineage will NEVER accept anything below its expectations and aspirations! Power to the Free People of Tunisia.

Journey 1423: to boldly go where no Arab Country has gone before!

The free people of Tunisia chose on the 14th and confirmed on the 23rd their choice of a modern democratic society.

However, while the 14th ushered this new freedom era, democracy remains far beyond voting. It also requires, among others, vigilance and a strong will to defend one's conviction in a civilized manner while respecting others.

We just started our democratic journey and it is worthy of our martyrs and the expectations of our future generations and the true free world.

Today is time to learn from the outcomes of our first democratic step. Empowered with this fresh experience and lessons, we are called to invent a new political paradigm for Tunisia and why not the rest of the World.

Before ending this short and challenging but optimistic blog, I'd like to share with you few poetic words from Khalil Gibran's The Prophet.

Tunisia Again: 15O Tunisia's Evacuation Day and Globalchange!

Not only did the Tunisian 14th of January initiate a global tsunami of freedom, it is today again showing the way by recalling, while celebrating the evacuation of the last french soldier from its soil, that the power of people's will is stronger than gun's fire.

Today's 15th of October (15O) attest to the far reaching effects of Free Tunisia pure revolution. A Tsunami of peaceful global action engulfing the planet and inspiring free people to unite and speak in one strong voice on behalf of humanity. The first words of a manifesto illustrating this resounding collective voice say:

"On 15 October 2011, united in our diversity, united for global change, we demand global democracy: global governance by the people, for the people. Inspired by our sisters and brothers in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Bahrain, New York, Palestine-Israel, Spain and Greece, we too call for a regime change: a global regime change."

This sweeping freedom tsunami, initiated in the land of the free Tunisia, and spreading all over the living planet, will energetically sweep away any malignant seeds should they resist to join the awakening of our planetary collective consciousness.

The coming planetary freedom era is being called aloud by free voices, like roaring drams, from all over the corners of planet Earth. People all over are keeping the flame lit and alive while chanting the chains breaking words of our mighty poets and praying for the blessings of our martyrs that either gave their blood or died awaiting a loaf of bread.

May God bless our mother-ship Earth with gentle winds of change so that it sails swiftly towards calm and serene waters and anchor its destiny to where we all WILL it to go and be for the benefit of all generations of living people and creatures.

The Reawakening: Friday 25th!

Free Tunisia, siblings of Hannibal, Ibn Khaldoun and Aboul Kassim Echabi, the World is watching your brave and peaceful awakening, and hearing your calls for freedom and dignity! Keep it up and your vision will shine sky high, and beyond your borders as it is already swiftly sweeping your neighborhood and beyond! The pages of post-modern history are being engraved in humanity's memory and Free Tunisia are its first engravings.

Trust First! ... the rest will follow.

The unanimous call of the free Tunisians is blatant: NO to old faces!

Despite this crystal clear political position, the politicians "in charge" insist on ignoring it! Moreover and surprisingly, old hidden fists seem to be at work, blocking the circulation of credible information and pulling several strings!

In addition, the members of the transition government keep on insisting on the importance of the protection of the economic system, or repeating promises to secure earlier ones while belittling the great sacrifices of our martyrs and the historic revolution they sparked.

To say the least, this awkward and old-fashioned management of the transition will only aggravate the situation and transform the ongoing chaos into an uncontrollable sociopolitical crisis.

Consequently, and since the members of this transition government are supposed to be political experts and/or nationally renowned academicians, this awkwardness betrays an unspoken agenda!

Finally, the priority is to choose an adequate and trustworthy interim team and gain the soonest people's trust in order to engage in the necessary corrective actions with the full support of the different stakeholders of the Tunisian society.

Last but not least, and as a necessary ingredient to this historic trust building process, it is fundamental to insure that NO Witch-Hunting would result from the withdrawal of the old faces. The free Tunisia’s fair legal system will be entrusted with the mission of legally punishing the culprits within trustworthy law and justice institutions.

Finally, as the entire World is witnessing the unfolding of our unique and historic REVOLUTION, it will also observe and attest to the forgiveness of the peace loving and moderate free-people of Tunisia!
